"Driven by loads of positive feedback from the last event, dates for the next 1970 Reggae and Soul revival weekender have been finalised – 11-12 July. Same venue as last year – the excellent Sugar Lounge in Margate – and this year with a real scoop. For the first time since the late 60s, we have Derrick Morgan and George Dekker dueting live, singing some of their greatest skinhead sides, like Johnny Pram Pram, etc. They will also be doing some of their solo stuff, and so we’ll also be looking forward to George singing a few of his big tunes recorded as Johnny Melody (Foey Man, etc). These are exclusives - these guys have done none of this stuff live before!!!!
So, if you were there last year, you’ll know this is not to be missed. Biggest gathering of original skinheads for years, top artists, great venue, allnighter Saturday night, some of the top DJs on the scene, the Sounds and Pressure sound system, the list goes on……"
Oh how I wish I could take responsibility for this gig, but I can't! Phil Bush (Bod) I've known for what seems an awful lot of years now has always been one of those chaps that if he's gonna do something he's gonna do it in a really big way! Well the Sounds and Pressure Sound System is no exception this will be a truly Top Weekend don't miss it!!!
Well we went and had a terrific weekend, here's a few photos!
